The Research Objectives

To understand the pain points of creative people in showcasing their work/portfolio

Phase 1 : Discover

Interviews

At the discovery phase of my project, I conducted user interviews in order to get a better understanding of the problem. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

LinkedIn Creatives

As we know that LinkedIn is the world’s largest job search site. People use LinkedIn for searching jobs, showing their resumes and connecting with other people. But is LinkedIn helpful for creative peoples like Designers? From where we start our Research.

774+ Million users around the world - largest job search social network

Users can search for jobs, show their résumés, connect and share content but it doesn't offer many options to showcase media-rich portfolios

It limits the opportunities for creative professionals to prove their value to potential employers

My Role

Role     : UX/UI Designer

Tools    : Figma

Client  : LinkedIn

Phase 2 : Define

Persona

Based on the interviews I created a persona. I referred to her throughout the entire product development process.

Customer Journey Map

To understand how customers find and interact with the service I created a Customer Journey Map

Creative professionals are not able to properly showcase their work on LinkedIn and prove that they have the relevant skills to get hired.
As a result, they are missing out on the many opportunities that the world's largest professional social network has to offer.

Phase 3 : Design

Sketches & Wireframing

I started the design process with rough sketches. Sketches are the medium through which we can develop wireframes. This way it always helps me to visualize how a website will look once it is finished. This is the way I iterate through many design options quickly. Later on, made some iterations on those sketches until my design fully took shape in the form of low-fidelity wireframes. I used these wireframes to create a mid - fi  digital prototype for my product.

Focused on a way to upload project SAMPLES that still had key information that met the recruiters’ search criteria, such as industry and skills
